Can I sue over fraternity hazing?

I pledged a frat last spring, and got injured during hazing. To add insult to injury, they just left me out to dry. I discovered that I need surgery over the summer and had it. I also want to know if there is a statute of limitations regarding this. And the obvious moral question of whether I SHOULD sue or not, because doing so will screw over the guys I pledged with, who are still my good friends. Some help?
