Why doesn't the Settlers 7 Game 'patch' download properly?

I've got the new Settlers 7 game and during the installation it says that a new update is needed (i'm guessing this 'patch' thing). The download goes well until about 42% and then just stops. Even when I 'quit', it doesn't download off the website either.
