Do dogs have a hierarchy level?

of course dogs have a hierarchy. however you don't really have to "beat" your older brother. your dog can love the both of you. it isn't all about being in control it's about loving your dog and having her happy. however if it helps you any you might want to start feeding her (her regular food) and training her (sit, down, stay etc.) those are great ways to bond with your dog.
