Prolly not. Ortiz lacks the experience and he has never fought someone of a proven elite. Berto was the man he beat but even Berto gave him a touhg fight and knock him down twice. I suspect Ortiz chin to be weak. Maidana did knocked him down a few times before he quit. Nobody will ever forget that fight. Ortiz needs to rematch Maidana and he doesn't deserve to fight Mayweather at least not yet until he beat Maidana and beat another top fighter. Having one fight at welterweight makes no sense for him to be called elite immediately at the division.
