Tell me what you think of this guy...?

Personally, he is not my type, but he's realy cute, with curly black hair and black eyes. He and I have known each other for about a year now, but we're not close friends, we just talk every so often. He has taken to sitting in his chair, leaning in towards me, and looking at me for afar for several seconds, and he talks to his friends with a weird face when I'm surrounded by my attractive and popular guy friends. Does he have a staring problem? What are his chances of liking me? Am I inane and overly paranoid? HELP!
