What do you think about Obama's school paln?

Apparently he wants to lengthen the days by 4 hours and shorten summer vacation. Personally, I think it sucks. No time to let a kid be a kid, to learn things that aren't in a book, things about life in general. Kids need breaks too, and frankly, I think that forcing more time on them will likely end in a drop out rate in high schools. Who wants to go to school until 6 or 7 in the evening, just for cles, not activities too. What do you think about it? Do you agree or disagree? Why?
