Are we supposed to be impressed when he hear claims that a holy book contains scientific knowledge?

Of course an up-to-date science textbook contains many times more verifiable scientific information. It's an up-to-date science textbook! There's nothing impressive about a science textbook containing scientific information, any more that it is impressive for a book of poetry to contain poems. What IS impressive is for a 3500 year old religious text to contain information yet unknown to science, such as the universe having a beginning and that we share common descent.
